MANILA, Philippines — An employee of the House of Representatives who recently tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has died, House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales confirmed Thursday. Montales said the employee, who was assigned at the Bills & Index Service office of the lower chamber, passed away on Thursday morning. On July 20, he tested positive for COVID-19,” Montales said in a statement. Three House of Representatives employees have so far succumbed to COVID-19. As of posting, there are 18 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the lower chamber.
