The deep freeze has passed, but we’re not out of the woods yet – Mondays morning commute may be a messy one. The GTA is due for several centimetres of snow Sunday night into Monday and as the mercury reaches subzero temperatures, things could get slushy. 2 - 4 cm of snow is expected Sunday evening and another 2-4 may fall throughout Monday, said Environment Canada meteorologist Glenn Robinson. The temperature will rise to 0 C around noon, Robinson said, which may make the roads wet and create puddles on the sidewalk. The snow won’t come down particularly heavily, Robinson predicts, so the morning rush hour should be more or less a “typical winter commute.”
