To prevent thefts of donated good the Timaru Salvation Army is asking people to drop items off only when the Family Store is open. Thefts of donated goods from outside the Salvation Army in Timaru have forced the organisation to request drop offs be made only during the Family Store’s opening hours. Salvation Army spokeswoman Louise Parry said it had been an ongoing problem despite security cameras. Salvation Army, Timaru. “We urge those wanting to donate to drop off goods when our shop is open or call us to arrange pick up.”The Timaru Salvation Army family store is open 9.15am-4pm weekdays and 10am-1pm Saturdays.
