A trio of Japanese imports were targeted by thieves in Dunedin during the weekend. Between 9pm and midnight on Friday a Mazda station wagon was stolen from a Mosgiel address, Sergeant Tracy Turner said. The second Mazda was stolen from Mornington between 7pm and 10pm on Saturday. It had also been recovered, however, it was "extensively damaged" as a result of a being involved in a crash, Sgt Turner said. Fortunately for the owner of the third Mazda their car had not befallen the fate of the other two.
