Bologna have confirmed that Thiago Motta will not renew his contract at the club, as he closes on a reported move to rivals Juventus. The 41-year-old has spent just two seasons at the club and, despite the impressive achievement, is now set to leave after the club confirmed the news. In a statement, they said: 'This morning Thiago Motta informed the club of his intention not to renew his contract with Bologna FC 1909. Motta was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, amid uncertainty over the future of head coach Erik ten Hag. But this season, Motta has lifted Bologna to a whole new level using his unorthodox formation that is a 4-3-3 which could be interpreted as a 2-7-2.
