Check out this list showing the companies with the highest average salaries in the Bundesrepublik. The list, compiled by the job rating website Glassdoor, ranked the top 12 companies paying the highest average salaries in Germany, Business Insider reports. The firm with the highest average salaries was the American technology company Intel, which pays its German employees on average €77,500 per year - slightly less than double the average annual wage. The bottom four companies listed - all nonetheless paying their employees an average of over €60,000 - were all automotive firms. Wages in Germany have been on the rise in the past few years, increasing for the third year in a row in 2016 by 1.8 percent.
