Thermomix's Australian distributor could be facing massive fines after the company reportedly confessed to misleading consumers over faulty products. NewsCorp reports that the company's local distributor, Thermomix In Australia Pty Ltd, also admitted to knowing 10 customers had been burnt before deciding to issue a public safety warning. Corporations that mislead consumers face penalties of up to $1.1 million for each instance of misconduct for breaching consumer laws. Thermomix is facing huge fines after confessing to misleading consumers over faulty products. According to NewsCorp, around 200,000 households have a Thermomix TM31, which retail for about $2000 each.
