To clarify, Ellation owns Crunchyroll and these layoffs were indeed of Ellation staff that worked on Crunchyroll. However, I have recently noticed a distinct change when dealing with Crunchyroll. Specifically, that communication has been swift and professional on almost all matters, with the response to these recent layoffs being indicative of this change.
