In fact, you may have never heard of the Tigray National Regional State, which is currently encircled by Ethiopian and Eritrean forces. But it is not enough, and it is dwarfed by the coverage of Ukraine or the Bosnian genocide before it. Tigray is far from the only region that has been cut off from the rest of the world in this way.
