Till now, theatres screening films had been targeted or, more recently, actors from Pakistan have been banned in Indian films. Some of the biggest names in Bollywood have either spoken out in support of Bhansali or in favour of breaking the silence. "Hindu extremists have stepped out of Twitter into the real world now... and Hindu terrorism is not a myth anymore," filmmaker Kashyap tweeted. For Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid, who is essaying the role of Rani Padmavati's husband Rana Ratan Singh, it was a question of standing by their director. The three Khans - Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman - and Amitabh Bachchan, however, are yet to comment on the attack on Bhansali.
