It wasn't until my 35th and final year teaching that the Cork County Board sent a GAA coach into the school. Parishes, which were once diehard Gaelic football strongholds, are now supplying more players to Munster rugby squads than to the Cork football panels. As for the revival in Cork football: it is REAL. He has a clear vision of where Cork GAA must go and how they will get there. Last year they won All-Ireland titles in the U-17 and U-20 grades and you know what they say about a rising tide lifting all boats.
