Theft among problems faced byTaman Cheras market traders - Metro News

REGULAR theft at Pasar Besar Taman Cheras in Kuala Lumpur are resulting in traders worried about leaving their goods at the market overnight. Pasar Besar Taman Cheras Stall Licence Holder Association liaison officer Lee Chooi Sheng, 46, said there were at least two theft cases every month this year. “There is a DBKL staff on duty to safeguard the market between 5pm and 5am but the thefts are still happening,” she said. In view of this, Pasar Besar Taman Cheras Stall Licence Holder Association wants Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to build a perimeter fence around the market.
