Theatre review: Priscilla Queen of the DesertPETER MEECHAM/FAIRFAX NZ Ray Meagher plays Bob the Mechanic in the stage show of Priscilla Queen of the DesertREVIEW: It's hard not to miss the elaborate bus that's parked at Auckland's Civic Theatre for the next month. The bus is part of the set for the production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, which has returned to Auckland for a four-week season. Brazilian Andre Torguato is a convincing drag queen as Adam and Felicia, the slightly immature one of the group with an undying love for Kylie Minogue. The hit musical is a breath of fresh air on The Civic stage after darker shows like Phantom of the Opera and Sweeney Todd earlier this year. Priscilla Queen of the Desert at The Civic, Auckland until November 6.
