Speaking at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC this week, Mike Moses, President of Virgin Galactic, explained the benefits of the so-called ‘overview effect.’This is the idea that seeing Earth from above can change the way you think about the planet. According to space.com , Mr Moses said: “The more people that see the Earth from above, the more change you can make on Earth. Richard Branson , founder of Virgin Galactic has said he expects commercial flights on board the firm’s SpaceShipTwo to begin in mid-2019. However, you'd better start saving if you fancy heading to space.
