The true meaning of Anzac

Photo: NZMEIt is always a time of unity, a time to come together to acknowledge those who have served, but there is something special about this Anzac Day, and the opportunity it offers to recognise the bond between two neighbouring nations. It is, on that note, a special Anzac Day for another reason. Last year was an Anzac Day like no other. The WAAF played a key role on the home front during World War 2, and nearly 5000 Kiwi women served. Remember your lost loved ones, support your comrades (including the ones with the Aussie twang), and be thankful for the bubble in which we live.
