As Republicans push out new revisions to save their health-care plan, The Post's Paige W. Cunningham explains the sticking points spurring on the internal fighting over the bill. Some Republicans, you see, are philosophically opposed to the very idea of Obamacare giving health insurance to the poor and sick, while others are only politically opposed to the idea of a president named Obama doing so. President Trump promised on April 30 that new GOP health-care legislation will preserve coverage for people with preexisting medical conditions — but critics say that's at odds with his promise to lower premiums. And the second is that the only Obamacare replacement GOP moderates would support is, yes, Obamacare. There's no conservative alternative to Obamacare, in other words, because Obamacare is the conservative alternative.
