(CNN) Chaos and confusion reigned on a balmy spring afternoon in central London Wednesday, as a car barreled down a bridge, hitting pedestrians. Three people were killed here, and scores injured. The attacker then entered the grounds of Westminster Palace, the UK's seat of government, fatally stabbing a police officer before being shot and killed by police.
