There are those who think it will undermine the fabric of societyIt highlighted the sector this week in its industrial strategy white paper, saying that greater investment in AI will “drive productivity across the economy”. “We will harness this potential and turn it into the high-paid, high-productivity jobs of tomorrow,” said Philip Hammond, the chancellor, during last week’s budget.
