Mark Shapiro isn’t the sensitive type, at least not as it pertains to his role as Blue Jays president. The players, who have been living on the road for the better part of a year deserve the support. The Jays can play a role in our healing process at a time when we’re all starved for positive news. The Public Health Agency of Canada and the federal government made a big move by opening the border and clearing a path for the Jays’ return. Now it’s time for the front office to return the favour with a big move of their own before the deadline.
