The Toronto Argonauts, co-owned by Wayne Gretzky and John Candy, won the 1991 Grey Cup in a season that began with a training camp in Guelph. Argos GM Mike (Pinball) Clemons lined up in the backfield on that 1991 team. “It was a magical time,” Clemons said Friday, as the Argos continued to prepare for the reopening of the CFL. Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading...“The only good thing about looking good on paper is that it’s better than looking bad on paper,” Clemons said. It might not be quite 1991 all over again, but there will be some brand names in the Argos’ camp.
