As one of his first official acts in January 2017, President Donald Trump announced Executive Order 13771. This afternoon I signed an executive order to establish task forces that will help scrap job-killing regulations on American businesses. In OIRA's spring 2018 Unified Agenda, 631 rulemakings were subject to the president's executive order. That's why some scholars don't see the executive order as the cost-cutting red tape killer that the administration made it out to be.
