From The Times: August 5, 1920The reduction in the price of Ford motor-cars announced yesterday is not likely to be followed by any cheapening of British cars. Mr B Crossley, manager of Willys-Overland, Limited, told a representative of The Times that he considered the lowered price of the Ford car was advantageous to the the British motor-car industry. It would stimulate sales of motor-cars and encourage people to buy who had not been able to a week ago. Those who bought a cheap car now would buy a more expensive one later on, and anything was to be welcomed that induced them to take the first step.
