When young people become engaged in decision making activities they develop the skills needed to be effective leaders. Finally, empowering young people to be engaged in decision making activities has shown to decrease traditional problem behaviors. Empowering young people and allowing them the opportunity to take part in all decision making process has shown to benefit their development greatly. For us to bring tremendous social and economic benefits in this country, we need to involve all young people in decision making process because they are a valuable asset. They will feel as if they have an obligation and set of skills needed to represent a certain sub-section of the community population.
