Today, pickups have bigger dimensions compared to their peers in the 1990s, making them appropriate to be called pick-up trucks. Leading the charge in metamorphosing the pickup truck were Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Ford, among others. Hyundai also has a pickup truck concept called the Santa Cruz that was first unveiled in 2015. In its first year of production in 1928, more than 33,800 units of the Ford pick-up model were sold. The next generation of pick-up trucks may soon have car-like styling similar to Hyundai’s Santa Cruz pickup.
