As the seasonal retail frenzy subsides, economic attention returned to the US-China trade war, which has caused markets to jitter around the world. We look at the consequences for workers in the US and China, and for developing nations where China has invested heavily. The civil war in Yemen that broke out in 2015 caught some by surprise, though its origins had been brewing for years.
