70 years of Independence: Seven decades of India on the silver screenAd man Prasoon Joshi has taken over as the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC, or the censor board), after Pahlaj Nihalani was sacked yesterday. Joshi is a National Award-winning lyricist, and has worked on films such as Taare Zameen Par, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Neerja, among other films. He told India Today that the news of his appointment was still sinking in, and that he'd been initially surprised that his name had come up.
