For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Are we supposed to listen to the Gospel lines quoted above and cheer despite coronavirus disease 2019, or Covid-19? Plainly, even among those who turned religious over the past year for fear of disease and destitution, most probably don’t have much time for eternal life talk. Which brings us back to the question: What’s there to rejoice for when most people don’t believe in the Redeemer in whom there is life eternal? In short, we rejoice because in believing and following Jesus, we lead our world toward God Who is life everlasting.
