Opening one of the daily UK newspapers I found an article stating the following:Raising livestock for meat, eggs and milk generates 14.5 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions, the second highest source of emissions and greater than all transportation combined. It also uses about 70 per cent of agricultural land, and is one of the leading causes of deforestation, biodiversity loss and water pollution. Quite frightening in many ways, and something I feel sure one regular writer to this newspaper will tell us he already knew. Maybe we all need to think about its implications.
