Matiba breathed his last yesterday evening at Karen hospital where he has been admitted for close three weeks. The celebrated opposition politician has been ailing since the detention and has been in and out of hospital especially in the recent years. He died before he could lay his hands on compensation for his detention amounting to 945 million shillings awarded by the court.
