We went from designing a candidate vaccine to putting into people for testing within 103 days, which is extremely fast. At the moment, the candidate vaccine is in large-scale clinical trials, which means that thousands of people are taking it. My role is overseeing the lab side, analysing blood samples from people who have been given the candidate vaccine.
