The historic village WITHIN Glasgow city that is like taking a walk back in time to the 17th century

Glasgow is known as Scotland's biggest city and despite its reputation as the 'dear green place', you'll probably have images of a thriving urban hub when thinking about it. But you don't even need to step outside the city boundaries to take a trip back in time to a quiet, 17th-century village. Located on the southern tip of the city, Carmunnock is about as far removed from the bustle of central Glasgow as you could get. In fact, the village hall, built in 1893 is called Castlemilk Hall and has played a vital role in life for residents. It is 7.4 miles from Glasgow city centre which should take around 30 minutes driving depending on traffic.
