The high country pull on Fernyhough's heart Christine Fernyhough lives in the leafy Parnell suburb, but Castle Hill Station will always have a place in her heart. Castle Hill ended up being a place of healing for the widow. Her departure was bitter-sweet - bitter because she was leaving Castle Hill and sweet because she was closer to her family. Despite her curious aversion to seeing Castle Hill from the air, Fernyhough still visits Castle Hill and stays with its managers on occasions. It's a small price though, she says, for a precious decade at Castle Hill.
