According to the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), warmer weather and less rainfall is predicted for the coming weeks. Jailan said the warm weather being experienced now is a normal phenomenon that takes place between February and April each year. Jailan also urged Malaysians to take steps to conserve water due to the warmer weather, and advised against open burning. Azizan Yusof, a public relations executive who works from home, also complained about the unusually hot weather of late. She also said that the air-conditioner isa necessity, as the warm weather has caused rashes on her mother’s sensitive skin.
