The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NTCB) faced massive criticism after they put a picture of a goat on a mango tree and writing “O” as “Orna Chai” (I want an orna) in the first grade’s Bangla textbook in 2017. Now the goat is shown standing beneath the tree. The picture of the girl wanting an orna (scarf) has been replaced by a weight machine. The picture of the goat and the orna (scarf) are good examples, which were not added recently but have been there since 2012. It is our routine task to make necessary corrections every year,” He further added.
