Self-drive car rental start-up Zoomcar says it will have more than 25,000 cars across 25 cities by 2018. And that is how Moran and Back decided it had to be Zoomcar, in India. Back in the US, Moran and Back went back to the drawing board to chart out the course for Zoomcar. The car rental segment had a handful of big businesses such as Avis, Carzonrent and Car Club among others. Most of the car rental companies, including Zoomcar until recently, own the fleet, which makes them an asset-heavy model that requires plenty of capital, slowing growth.
