Arsenal have already lost influential midfielder Aaron Ramsey to Juventus on a free transfer, released Stephan Lichsteiner and Danny Welbeck and seen experienced goalkeeper Petr Cech retire. Unai Emery desperately needs to strengthen his defence and supposedly wants to add two new defensive recruits to his squad. They also need to find a replacement for Ramsey and will look to strengthen on the flanks after the failed loan signing of Denis Suarez. Kieran Tierney Arsenal are keen on a move for the Celtic star, with left-back one of the main problem areas in their squad. The likes of Manchester United and Manchester City are supposedly offering north of £75m for their defensive targets so the signing of Manolas for £32m would represent some very good business.
