No matter who wins the election, the US, and with it the rest of the world, is going to experience a dark period. Election scenariosTo understand and therefore have some opportunity to plan for what’s coming, let’s consider the four possible scenarios for the election itself. The Republican candidate, President Donald Trump, wins by about the same margin as described above. Highly unlikely, though not impossible given the aggressively overt efforts by the Trumpist Republicans to corrupt the elections, is a fraudulently obtained overwhelming victory for Trump. What happens if Biden wins a victory so overwhelming that Trump cannot challenge it through legal or extralegal means is anyone’s guess at this point.
