A murderer who was convicted after an 'unreliable' Somalian migrant snitched on him with 'fake evidence' to avoid deportation is bidding to be freed from jail. Discussing the similarities, Ms Major said: 'He said he knew something. Since the new guard at the CCRC have come in, Ms Major says they are taking Osborne's case more seriously. The witness, now back in Somalia, contacted Ms Major in 2022 and admitted he had lied during the trial. However, he asked for £30,000 if he was going to come forward - something Ms Major refused to do to avoid jeopardising any chance of Osborne's freedom.
