Ideally, a tasty own-label wine should be one that highlights a wine buyer’s own passions. Their aim is to sign up exclusivities from some of the world’s best producers, featuring a particular grape, region or style, then slap their own label on and sell it at cheaper prices than the brands. A good buyer should keep you coming back for more from the range, and given that own-label wines are growing at a faster rate than branded ones, the own-label wheeze is working.
