While 95 per cent of me is ready for spring (and getting increasingly frustrated that I can’t go outside and enjoy it #selfisolation), there is a small part that is absolutely not. The thought of exposing them, after being hidden away in socks for months, is somewhat unappealing. Nails unpainted, heels un-pumiced and big toes yet to be defuzzed, they have a long way to go before they’re ready to slip into a pair of barely there sandals. Fortunately, this season there’s an alternative; it’s called the spring boot. Think versatile ankle and calf-high styles in suede, canvas and leather, lightened up in tones of cream, tan and grey.
