For much her life, Invercargill triple and high jumper Charlotte Muschamp defined herself by her sport. The 26-year-old athlete overcame many hurdles, both physical and mental, while completing a sports scholarship to Washington State University in the United States. Upon graduating two and a half years ago, she made the agonising decision not to lift the bar by attempting bigger competitions. "But I have found my niche here in Seattle and am currently working towards becoming a registered architect in the State of Washington, working as an architect."
