Even as we observe this year’s International Women Day, there are millions of women and girls who remain vulnerable to social, economic, political, psychological and physical abuse. It is unimaginable for approximately 15 million women 15–19 years old give birth each year, about 11% births worldwide. There can be no PEACE in the world when 603 million women live in countries where domestic violence is not yet considered a crime. No nation encounters true prosperity when women and girls remain vulnerable to socio-economic peril. The world has no future when women remain vulnerable to all forms of abuse.
