It's now a mainstay of the Trump White House's rhetoric and a pithy talking point for conservatives. And almost without fail, this White House doesn't provide any. And it happened with CNN's story about Kellyanne Conway being pulled off TV by the White House. The White House doesn't really do this, even after the fact. And it not only hasn't been proven false; Flynn and the White House have basically confirmed the details of it, and Flynn was fired because he had misled the White House about having discussed those sanctions.
