AMCAnother week, another period of time to process the latest horrifying death in The Walking Dead, this time, in Fear the Walking Dead, the spin-off that takes the place of the original when it’s off the air. But man, being a Walking Dead fan is simply exhausting because of the emotional toll it takes if you allow yourself to get emotionally invested in any of the series characters. While death is a part of most long-running TV shows, no show relies on it as a plot device as often as The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. There have been great episodes where characters die and terrible episodes where characters die, but the show is simply death, death, death, death and everything feels in service of the next great atrocious murder or heroic self-sacrifice.
