On Wednesday night, the High A Vancouver Canadians punched their ticket into the Northwest playoffs. After a first half that saw the team finish 30-33, fourth in the NW League, the Toronto Blue Jays affiliate have had a fantastic second half, where their record sits at 37-25. At the start of that series on August 30th, the Canadians only had one and a half games on Spokane in the overall standings. The Canadians can win the second half outright, as they just need to win the next four games Eugene Emeralds, who also happen to be first in the second half standings. For a large part of the season, if you had asked me which team I’d enjoy watching the most, I’d say the Vancouver Canadians (and that includes the Blue Jays).
