Boeing will report earnings Wednesday, likely confirming that recertification of MAX jets isn’t expected until June or July. Carriers are now excluding the plane from their schedules until the fall, in part because they need time to train their pilots in a MAX simulator—and there are only about three dozen of them around. While the top U.S. carriers seem to be well served, smaller ones aren’t so lucky.
