A few decades back the vehicle of choice of the young, professional urban male out-earning his parents—typically a stockbroker or corporate lawyer—was a BMW. Can the German company pull it off again with tech bros in 2019? One clear obstacle is that many of these young men, despite ample disposable income, have eschewed car ownership for Ubers and ZipCars. If they don’t ride to work in a company bus, then it might be on a wheeled contraption normally favored by children.
