On Friday, multiple sources confirmed that the US will be dropping COVID-19 testing requirements for those flying into the country. For the past year and a half or so, America has required all international air travellers entering the country to require a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding their flight. What’s more, this rule has stayed in place as others have changed, including land border crossings and even mask requirements for flights within the country. On that day, those flying into the US will no longer have COVID-19 testing requirements. As for Canada, we actually officially dropped pre-arrival testing for fully vaccinated travellers way back in April.
