After being served secrecy orders, Sancoff filed his lawsuit against the government in July 2015 to recoup damages, and hopes for a trial by next summer. And while some secrecy orders are reversed each year, others date back as far as the 1940s. “We’re afraid the government will come in and put more secrecy orders on us,” he says.
