The Tragically Hip will play concerts in 10 cities across Canada this summer, the band announced Wednesday. The tour dates were revealed a day after the announcement that singer Gord Downie has been undergoing treatment for terminal brain cancer. Gord Downie, shown performing in Moncton in 2005, has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. It will begin July 22 in Victoria and end in the band’s hometown of Kingston on Aug. 20, according to a news release.
